Microsoft has recently published a nice series of videos comparing Microsoft's Visual Studio 2005 with Adobe's Dreamweaver 8. The videos can be viewed here.
Microsoft also makes available for free its Visual Web Developer Express which doesn't require you hosting a web server on your PC.
